Short term Training Programmes

To educate, upgrade & train the field functionaries, service providers & policy makers, NIVH conducts short term training programmes through out the year. While most of these programmes focus on the capacity building, some of them are geared towards generating greater awareness about the rights and entitlements of persons with visual impairments. These programmes are conducted across the length and breadth of the country in partnership with state agencies, voluntary organizations and academic institutions. Following courses have been accorded CRE status by Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi.

During the year 2010-11 approximately 133 programmes will be conducted covering 30 themes. Participants are paid travel subsidy, free accommodation and transit D.A. No registration fee or course fee is charged
